Jessica Portu MSN, APRN-BC, AOCNP® earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami and began her oncology nursing career in 1994 at Baptist Hospital of Miami. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner in 1999 and began her NP career at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Neuro Oncology.

She joined HOAPB in 2006 after relocating to Palm Beach County.

After 29 years caring for oncology patients, she is excited for the breakthrough treatments, precision medicine, and improvement in quality-of-life patients can have in 2023. Jessica is privileged to be able to work alongside devoted, caring oncologists every day. She is the immediate past president of the Palm Beach Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society.

“I am grateful to be able to ease some of the fear and provide compassionate care to our patients in one of the most difficult times in their lives”.

When not caring for patients, Jessica enjoys a good book, the beach, traveling and spending time with her two children, and friends.
