Dr. Sternheim completed his Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Miami, Miami after serving as a Resident in Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami. He interned at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami. He received his Medical Degree from State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center and completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Washington University, St. Louis.

He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine Hematology-Oncology, and the American Board of Internal Medicine Oncology. Dr. Sternheim holds professional memberships in American College of Physicians, Palm Beach County Medical Society, American Society Clinical Oncology, Alpha Omega Alpha, and Phi Beta Kappa.

Dr. Sternheim always seeks to reduce the anxiety a patient feels when coming in for the first time. Known for his skills at putting patients at ease, Dr. Sternheim believes that open communication is essential when approaching patient care. Vibrant photographs of exotic destinations fill his office walls and frequently serve as conversation for his patients.
